Understanding Artificial Intellegence
Navigate
Overview
Artificial intelligence can analyze the patient records or input data to alert the provider to potential issues like drug interactions or deteriorating conditions. Artificial intelligence is streamlining the documentation process by suggesting entries, automating routine tasks, and even predicting patient needs based on historical input data such as the MEWS and fall scores.
It is a part of the clinical decision support systems (CDSS) that assists providers by offering evidence-based recommendations for patient care.
Still, we have fears and bias about the uses of artificial intelligence in healthcare. To alleviate our concerns, as with everything new, we need to develop a better understanding of artificial intelligence.
